It was great for us to welcome An Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment, Leo Varadkar TD to the Impact Hub on Friday last.

During his visit, he got to see what inclusivity looks like in the form of Ireland’s only fully inclusive business hub that has been built to accommodate disabled and able-bodied business owners alike.

He was welcomed to the Impact Hub @ Crann by our founder, Kate Jarvey; CEO Padraig Mallow and Head of Services, Colette Cahill.

As well as meeting with representatives of our sponsors including John Doherty of AIB Group; Dr. Niall O’Keeffe, Cork City Council; Jeanne McDonagh CEO of the Open Doors Initiative; Paul Sutton, Cork County Council; Paul Healy of The Rubicon Centre/MTU and Emer Cassidy, Chairperson of Ballincollig Business Association, he was also presented with a training t-shirt by Impact Hub Manager, Joellen Owers on behalf of Nathan Kirwan, owner of fashion line Chariot who provides clothes with features suitable for wheelchair users.

An Tánaiste noted how impressive the facilities at the Impact Hub are and said that the remote working options, facilities and supports available here, particularly for those with disabilities, could really help business owners to make a success of their business.
